STOCKPORT MULE
The Stockport Mule is our take on the classic Moscow Mule cocktail - and we can make it in two different ways!
WHAT EQUIPMENT WILL I NEED TO MAKE A STOCKPORT MULE?
A spirits measure and a stirring spoon.
WHAT INGREDIENTS WILL I NEED TO MAKE A STOCKPORT MULE?
To make this iconic cocktail, you'll need some gin or vodka (obviously!), fresh limes, simple sugar syrup, ginger ale, mint leaves and ice.
WHAT GLASSWARE DO I NEED FOR A STOCKPORT MULE?
You can use a tumbler for this but it does look great in a copper mug.
HOW DO I MAKE A STOCKPORT MULE?
Add 50ml of your preferred spirit (see below!) along with 25ml of freshly squeezed lime juice and 10ml of simple sugar syrup to your glass and stir gently to mix. Fill your glass with crushed ice and top with ginger ale before garnishing with a wedge of lime and a few mint leaves.
WHAT SPIRIT DO YOU RECOMMENDED TO MAKE A STOCKPORT MULE?
Traditionally, a Moscow Mule is made with Vodka, so our Viaduct Vodka makes the perfect Stockport Mule!
If it's gin you prefer though, try this cocktail using our Twist of Lime Edition gin. It's a fantastic twist on what is traditionally a cocktail made with vodka and our Twist of Lime Edition gin is the perfect substitute to enhance the flavour.
Give them both a go and let us know which you prefer!
